Abstract: | The question of change and the role of leaders in this process are examined here. In search of a formula which allows organizations to adapt without drowning in chaos, Shell, Siemens and DaimlerChrysler were studied for three and a half years in the 1980s and 1990s. It was discovered that the negative aspects of change can be avoided if leaders take a company's core values into account and engage employees when they guide their organization through times of change. |
