| Abstract: | R&D departments are being challenged to be developing new organizations for Front End activities as there is a pressure to be innovative and cost-effective the same time. Pharmaceutical industry faces this especially. It is important to provide strong drug candidates for efficient development processes and quick market launches. Based on an in-depth empirical study at a European pharmaceutical company, the paper contributes to improved understanding of the actual management practices used in the Front End. |
