| Abstract: | External knowledge sources have a notable role in improving innovative performance of technology districts. This research paper focuses on Italian technology district as a case study to analyze if and how technology districts use geographical, organizational and cognitive dimensions of proximity to reach external knowledge sources. The purpose was to identify the organizational and cognitive links between technology districtsÂ’ actors and external ones and recognize new clusters. The results highlight the positive influence of proximity on the effective utilization of external sources in learning processes. |
