Abstract: | This paper provides an in-depth discussion on the strategy-making practices in organizations. The strategy making process is based on firm characteristics to avoid elements that are unsuitable for the corporate culture. That is the reason why outsourcing the process is impossible. The authors highlight the importance of a strong strategy as a starting point to other business activities e.g. innovation. A five-step model is presented to improve strategy making processes. |
