| Abstract: | The study examines the role of private equity funds in the globalization process of firms from emerging markets. The role of private equity investments in firms in emerging markets is growing. The study was made starting from focusing the financial markets development and sector specific capital in the development economies. The study continues with the discussion of comparative advantage and intangible trade costs in the process of globalization. The main conclusion of the study is that private equity investment contributes to the international growth of firms from emerging markets and to the economic growth in their countries. Investment of private equity funds in emerging markets is shown as a new form of foreign direct investment dubbed FFDI. |
