Abstract:This article presents a study in which the organizational culture of family firms was compared with the culture of other type of companies. The generally accepted theories of business administration are used as a theoretical frame in this examination. The questionnaire study was carried out with a sample of 410 individuals from 126 different companies. The purpose of the comparison was to support the managing of family businesses. The paper identified several differences between organization cultures.
