Abstract:The paper investigates Spanish scholars' human resource management(HRM) research conducted in English and also aims to find out how Spanish HRM systems are represented externally. Authors argue that the study of HRM in Spain is largely Americanized in terms of methods and content and it lacks synergies with political economy and sociology. Moreover, there seems to be a shortage of thorough qualitative research. As a conclusion, the study suggests encouraging academic discussion on the features of the HRM in Spain.
