| Abstract: | The two main prerequisites of integrated,flexible,automatized manufacturing are: hierarchical organization of control and application of computers interconnected by communication networks. Two types of such networks are: the Local Area Network and the Wide Area Network. Components,psychical and logical connections within the network architecture. The five levels of manufacturing control hierarchy. There are a few model solutions of which the General Motors' Manufacturing Automation Protocol is reviewed in detail. Hardware and software requirements of the manufacturing control according to the special control functions are examined. |
