| Abstract: | In this first of a series of articles on health and fitness,the author,a general practitioner,looks at heart disease.In his risk factor list the following ten items are said to be closely associated with with heart disorders:smoking,high blood pressure,high blood cholesterol,obesity,stress,lack of excercise,diabetes,gender(males more than females),family medical history and age.The author believes that premature death can be prevented by the individual's own positive action. |
