Abstract:it has been hypothesized that conceptual similarity CS schemata influence rating covariance when ratings are obtained under difficult memory conditions, and raters lack relevant job or ratee information. Recent research has provide some limited support for this systematic distortion hypothesis /SDH/. So far researchers have examined this phenomena using group-level analyses. Now the phenomena is investigated at the individual level. Results provided support for the SDH.
