Abstract:The application of the concept of technology bunching is focused on i.e. an industrial strategy based on the building and exploitation of scientific and technological assets, in the information processing industry, and in particular to Olivetti. The Italian electronics giant, since its strong come back, starting in 1978, has been buttressed by the constitution of a technological capacity through internal reorganization and external alliances. Olivetti's recent agreement with the ATT permitted the Italian firm to make a spectacular progress at the American market, but it can cause a setback in its further growth.
