Abstract:Anglo-Americans, Japanese, Chinese and Mexican managers, and their ethnic- American counterparts are used to test a research design model to isolate the influence of culture. The results of the test reflect the difficulties in cross-cultural studies. The role of culture in management functions, research design, "job consciousness". 3 Tables detail the varying cultural characteristics in the results for three different sets of managers, while the conclusion is drawn that the US has a melting pot culture.
