Abstract:Researchers in economics and management have in vain tried to agree on a comprehensive system to evaluate the efficiency of a company. They have until now failed because the organizational efficiency of a company is all too often perceived as resulting from precise debates or data, whereas in fact it is the result of the negotiation process. When speaking of the efficiency of an organization, it would be necessary to identify what exactly efficiency means. This task usually proves to be extremely difficult because of the uncertainty concerning the definition of the aims that the organization has to achieve.
