Abstract:A longitudinal field survey to investigate the effects of occupational reality shock on organisational commitment attitudes, intentions and the behaviour of professional accountants, based on a sample of accountants working in the controller's division of a large Fortune 100 industrial firm and those in a "Big Eight" public accounting firm. The asymmetrical impact on the work related attitudes. Hypotheses, research site and subjects. Seven Tables and a Figure illustrate the study.
