| Abstract: | The author describes several practical cases drwan from personal experience, related to the `OR crisis'. The author speaks both as a user of OR and as a Director of OR studies. First he gives some practical advice, then the major shift from large scale analytical models to interactive decision support systems is highlighted. In conclusion, the author makes an appeal for management engineers within the OR profession and management scientists. |
