| Abstract: | The Distributional Strategy Simulator, a computer system capable of representing total distribution systems as an aid to strategic planning, is described. It was designed as a modelling system, capable of tackling the various issues involved in strategic planning, and thus creating the opportunity for developing a near custom-built model, but using a ready developed and tested set of computer programs. The flexible problems of a modelling system are discussed and illustrated through a number of implementation of the system in Europe and North America. |
