| Abstract: | Flexible automated fabrication is a valuable aid for ensuring the competitive strength of production companies. The integration of individual components into efficient production systems calls for high-quality planning; it is the result of a desirable short planning phase and it can be expected from the accuracy of every particular planning stage. It is shown how companies can fulfil this really demanding task. The production planning must be coordinated with investment planning, the CAD, CAP and CAM systems. The application of the GISA (Graphic Interactive Simulation and Animation) simulation method and some other planning tools are briefly reviewed. |
