| Abstract: | ScanSat TV3, a new private commercial channel, started to transmit this year. Since 1940 no advertisement has been allowed to broadcast either on radio or on TV and also this channel was banned by the Norvegian Minister of Culture because the commercials aimed at the national market in a native language. TV operators, some politicians and the general public opposed this decision. |
