| Abstract: | The IRT is the central research laboratory for West German public TV services. It aims to improve the existing TV systems.It is developing the experimental PAL colour TV system known as Improved PAL. In the field of HDTV , IRT works on standards-converter, multi-channel audio system, and the problem of transmitting HDTV signals to homes. Another field is stereoscopic TV. |
