Abstract: | With the launches of Sky and BSB, U.K. broadcasters will be operating in a highly competitive environment in 10 years' time.BBC's strategy is threefold: high standards, cost-effectiveness, cooperation and competition in the market place.To keep its present 50% share in the new era, BBC must provide high quality programming, which costs a lot of money. So BBC must develop new sources of income besides licence fee. BBC is exploring the potential of subscription. |
