Abstract: | Because of changing consumer preferences and to strengthen their international competitiveness, German car manufacturers have to shorten the length of product life-cycles. Simultaneously a high standard of technical innovation has to be ensured. Therefore an accelerated model change requires more efficiency and flexibility in R and D (Research and Development), production and sales. Especially new forms of project management should be integrated in the formal organization of business. Planning has a strategic character as the competitiveness created in this way can only be corrected difficulty by other instruments. |
