Abstract: | The paper presents critical theory as an interdisciplinary approach aiming at knowledge on consumers. This theory holds that social problems results from social groups being constrained by social structures and processes that these groups themselves maintain. Via the process of critique and dialogue, the critical researcher tries to help people imagine alternative social organizations facilitating development. |
