| Abstract: | According to our understanding of the concept of knowledge economy, that is, knowledge economy is based on knowledge- based industries, knowledge-basded industries refer to the comprehensive industrial aggregate engaged in the research, development and production of knowledge-based products, with knowledge as resources and newly-emerging high and new-technology (especially information technology) as the base. It is the base of knowledge economy era and the basic component part of the national economy. This paper divides knowledge-based industries into three categories: 1.scientific research which is engaged in knowledge production; 2.education which is engaged in knowledge distribution; 3.high and new technological industries and some traditional industries transformed by using high-tech, which are engaged in knowledge application. |
