Abstract:The paper introduces an empirical study of the relationship between religious commitment and business ethics conducted in the USA, in which respondents evaluated the ethical acceptability of business decisions. The findings differed with the way in which the religion variable was measured. When compared on the basis of broad faith categories, little relationship between religious commitment and ethical judgment was found. Respondents with high religious interests, however, demonstrated a higher level of ethical judgment.
