| Abstract: | Six types of credit card fraud occurs. Most of the exposure for credit card frauds lies with the card's issuers. Significant losses, however, can accrue to merchant/processors or to cardholders. Internal auditors need to study credit card fraud in order to develop a strategy for preventing its occurence. |
