Abstract:This article uses a lexical analysis approach to gain a better understanding about corporate social disclosure and corporate reporting in general. The findings reported in this article are part of a larger research project related to oil company Shell. The results of the text analysis show that transparency is important part of organization's reporting particularly for the external stakeholders.
