Abstract:In marketing science, conjoint analysis plays an important role. This is mainly due to a better supply with user-friendly software. The use of the various kinds of conjoint analysis depends, however, on different criteria and demands an appropriate amount of knowledge of statistical methods. Against this background, the article critically analyzes the different kinds of conjoint analysis (classic conjoint; choice-based conjoint; adaptive conjoint; hybrid conjoint) concerning their use in concrete situations.
