| Abstract: | Three factors set the context for industrial relations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in 1999: the Tenth Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall; negotiations with the EU over EU accession; and the effects of the 1998 Russian financial crisis. Industrial relations' institutions in CEE were at divergent stages of development in different countires in 1999. National level tripartite institutions survived, as channels for social dialogue. |
