Abstract:In India the government enjoys monopoly over radio and TV. Recently broadcasters have started a fight for autonomy as they believe that this way they could ensure balanced services taking into account the needs of different states. They are going to establish a similar system like the Australian one, nemaly a government broadcasting network and a private one should compete freely.
