Abstract:TV3 is the first private TV station in New Zeland and they are in competition with other stations, first of all, with Television New Zeland (TVNZ). TV3 succeeded in reaching agreements with US as well as British and Australian distributors. At the same time TVNZ signed a deal with British Central TV to get the first option for three years. It means that TV3 can buy those programs from Central TV which are rejected by TVNZ.
