| Abstract: | In the Winter Olympics ABC spend US$ 309 million for the exclusive rights. They will telecast 98 1/2 hours and more than 80 percent of the coverage will be live. All this will be carried out in mobile units. This is possible owing to miniaturization of equipments. The whole system consists of a 15-vehicle convoy of mobile containers. Its further advantage is that it can be re-used for other broadcasting events. Certain sporting events will be taken over from CTV while in other cases they will use their own special camera angles. |
