Abstract: | Implementing new information technologies (IT) may result in higher or lower productivity depending on the beliefs and expectations of the organization's members. This paper introduces a new concept called "Cognitive Knowledge Identity" (CKI) that distinguishes between three types of organizational systems: Tayloristic, Expert and Innovation. It operates as a basic social system framework that governs the effective use of IT in organizations. This article offers practical aspects for managers. |
