Abstract:The UK's recent Budget has increased local interest in Japanese leverage leases (JLL). Now, the most commonly used financial instruments in the UK banking market - including those used to fund big ticket assets such as aircraft - are dead. The market is already looking for alternatives to finance those assets and leasing is the obvious candidate. Japanese leverage leases are becoming an increasingly popular means of funding big ticket assets.
