| Abstract: | Five leading computer makers in Japan announced their sales and order receipts for the business year ending March 31. All five firms recorded high sales increases thanks to the phenomenal expansion of the personal computer market after the appearance of "WINDOWS 95", a new operating system of Microsoft , in addition to active information investment by big corporations. It is regarded as certain that the five computer makers will record high gains in the current fiscal year consecutively from the previous year in view of a considerable order backlog in general-purpose equipment and client (C/S) systems. |
