| Abstract: | The quality control of end user computing may be dangerously out off control. Control structures long established as an integral part of mainframe computing are lacking in the area of end user computing. End users are not assessing threats to personal computer security accurately and are subsequently implementing an inappropriate degree of control. Serious problems of undercontrol were identified in the area of file backup off-site storage, and physical access to sensitive files. |
