Abstract: | This paper examines the usefulness of the case study method in the college classroom. It also advocates the preparation of these cases from real-life situations and their subsequent discussion. The article suggests that this approach capitalizes on the strengths of analyzing internal audit cases, and reveals some of the drawbacks of case studies. It analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the case study method. It finally concludes that the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. |
