| Abstract: | The economic recovery started in the fourth quarter of 1993 with exports rising and industrial output increasing. Private consumption should get an impetus from tax reforms, making economic growth of 2.5% possible this year. By June 1994, inflation slowed to 2.9%. A further improvement should help to keep consumer price inflation down to an annual rate of less than 3%. Budget deficit consolidation was interrupted by an increase to Sch98 billion. |
