| Abstract: | The price of steel material has risen since 1992, and the price of the building material has risen from 1700 yuan per ton to 400 yuan per ton in early 1993, then it's experienced several risings and fallings by a great percentage. We trace the phenomena back to the excessive investment in the futures market, and conclude that the key to eliminate the vicious circle is to firmly control the speculative futures transaction and to encourage the hedging futures transaction. |
