Abstract:Hermosillo Stamping and Assemply plant, that possesses the leading Mexican learning laboratory is searching for strategies to regain a competitive advantage, since many automotive design and workforce changes are occurring at the turn of the century. This paper examines continous improvement initiatives including team rebuilding, workforce diversity and supply chain issues, and challenges and future issues are assessed for future workers and the regional economy amidst the increasingly competitive automobile industry.
