Abstract:The facts of expression of ideas and feelings by words can be taken as social facts, whereby they are the objects of sociology. Furthermore the words may have considerable power influencing the behavior of and within the group. These hypotheses were tested by using the minutes of an employees' meeting in a company. This so-called direct expression meeting is part of the new institutional framework for which the Auroux Act /1982/ provides. The situations of enunciations are noted, the processes of interventions minutely observed, and the question is asked: what can talking to do? Otherwise: in what directions, two what extent can talking determine the collective action?
