| Abstract: | All signs point to Avis Europe being one of the best bets for 1992 as far as the City (commercial and financial circles of London) is concerned. The firm has treated the Continent as a single market long before. Avis Europe has a crucial linking element in the shape of its computerised reservation system. It has given the company a good headstart over its competitors. A pan-European approach, whether to marketing or purchasing, is only possible because of the established network of subsidiaries, licensees and agents all over Europe and beyond. The broad growth trend in vehicle rentals is very promising. The group envisages an Avis car rental location in every urban centre with a population of over 50 thousand. |
