Abstract: | Multinational is a form of enterprise system which takes the global market as its operations objective. A multinational is generally composed of a parent company and a certain number of subsidiary companies. An outstanding characteristic of its rapid development is the expand of its scale of direct investment in foreign countries. Though there are fundamental differences in nature, investment level and management among multinationals in various countries and regions, they share the same characteristics in the form of enterprise system. They are all fundamental components and main forms of the internationalization of production and capital. Therefore, as far as economic influence is concerned, multinationals play a key role in the allocation of resources worldwide, in the improvement of competitive power of both investment nation and host one. |
