Abstract:Traditionally, back office is not seen as a strategic function. However, efficient support services can offer a great cost advantage. Three commonly used ways to make support functions more cost-efficient are reduce, redesign, and restructure. This article discusses ways to make back-office a growth accelerator. For example, these include enhancing customer service, eliminating bottlenecks, and unleashing sales forces.
