Abstract: | Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic offer the best near-term investment opportunities in Central Europe. But potential disasters await those wading into thess waters without a clear strategy, skillful negotiations, and consistent follow through. Clearly, it would be foolhardy to think of entering an unfamiliar country and learning a new business simultaneously. The strategic rationale for entering Central Europe does not have to be monolithic, but it must be clear and it must fit into the investor's overall strategy. |
