| Abstract: | Macao's tourism depends rather heavily on Hong Kong, and is dominated by gambling and lottery, with a small proportion of visitors staying overnight. Tourism brings tremendous foreign exchange to Macao, provides a great deal of employment, and promotes construction of infrastructures and economic development. Superiorities in gambling and lottery industry can be utilized to spur development of tourism, especially cultural tourism. It is expected that industries and facilities assisting tourism will be brought to perfection. The mega-triangular tourist attractions between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will be created inevitably. |
