| Abstract: | The ideas about further pushing forward the co-operation between the mainland and Hong Kong. Macao and Taiwan are as follows: We will concretely push forward the sub-regional economic co-operation while doing so and put great efforts on the horizontal division of work on the basis of raising the level of vertical division of work, thus promoting the industrial upgrading of the mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Besides, we should consolidate and develop the interdependent foreign trade relationship, co-ordinate and settle the existing contradictions and problems in this line. We should also continue to bring into play Hong Kong's intermediary role and at the sometime, expand the channels of exchange across the Taiwan Straits. |
