| Abstract: | Tactics of economic growth focus on three aspects:1.The esscalation of gambling industry towards fully mature entertainment industry. 2. New industries: As a measure to realize the multiplization of industries, in 1996 the government set up an organization which is authorized to promote technology transfer and improve production efficiency in 1993, to government set up an industrial investment area covering 11.7 hectares in which favourable treatment of tax cutting is offered to investors. 3. Industrial and commercial centres: by emphasizing Macao's advantages in low tax rate (10%), stable currency, legal systems of the European pattern and unlimited flow of capital, Macao government enthusiastically publicize Macao's position as the overseas economic centre. |
