| Abstract: | This study discusses the effects of harrasment on tourist behavior and on the host economy. Results from Marmaris, Turkey, suugest that a fundamental driver of harrasment is the ambition of local businesses for greter benefits. It is most likely to take place at streets or vendors and least likely on hotel properties. Some respondents reported such forms as sexual harrasment, verbal abuse, physical abuse and peddinf for drugs. |
