Abstract: | This paper reviews the social relationships in multinational corporations (hereafter as MCNs). The case example of this empirical investigation concentrates on cross-border management relationships and owner relationships in and around a German subsidiary in Hungary. The paper is based on 26 personal interviews with historical perspective covering the first 15 years of Hungarian transition to a market economy. The analysis of interviews revealed that social relationships have a hierarchical order. Different environments and strategic situations effect on cross-border social relationships of MCNs as well as the strategic load , frequency and length of interaction. |
