Abstract:Using Turkey and its visitors as a case, this study explores tourists' perception of the safety and security (herein as: saf-and-sec.) of a destination in relation to the level of satisfaction (as: satfn.) with their trip, through stepwise regression analysis. It is shown that positive perception of Turkey's hygiene and health, and saf-and-sec. helped visitors to have greater trip satfn., particularly in case they stayed longer, enjoying their trip without any product or service failure. However, German tourists and tourists with a secondary school degree are more likely to have less trip satfn.
